Dear Prof. Chirico;
We, the Puerto Ricans at Brooklyn College, have formed the
PUERTO RICAN FACULTY & STAFF ORGANIZATION with the following’
objectives in mind:
1 - To provide or coordinate certain essential services
for students, e.g. tutorial workshops, financial
assistance, academic and personal counseling, etc.
2 - To assist in the recruitment of competent faculty
and staff.
3 - To participate in the development of new educational
programs in collaboration with other departments, e.g.
at present we are working with the Puerto Rican Institute
on (a) bilingual programs and (b) English as a 2nd Language.
4 - To establish active rapport’and involvement with other _
faculty and student organizations on campus. ~~
