Invocation
Heavenly Father, it is as thanksgiving for your
many sraces and favors, that we celebrate this
day of graduation.
As we pray, we recall the words of the sreat
teacher Moses Maimonides:
“Support us, Almighty Goo, in these great labors
that they may benefit humankind, for without
Your help not even the least of our activities will
succeed. “
We thank you for our families, our teachers and
staff members, colleagues and friends, and ask
your blessing upon us all; but above all we thank
you for the wonderment, the embrace, the
challenge, the searching, bonding, indeed the
growth in knowledge and spirit on the part of
these ovr graduates; and we ask that as they
commence their careers, you continue to form
them and inspire them to Wisdom and Grace.
O Lord, we recall with continuing sadness, but
enouring hope in the promise of life everlastins,
how you have called to yourself our loved ones
who perished on September 11th and again we
ask of you, comfort to our families and ourselves,
ano eternal life for those friends and relatives of
this graduating class, whom you in your
inscrutable providence have chosen to call to
yourself,
This we ask in the name of the Lors.
Amen.
