That's Right! ! ‘
Last night, 200 members [Approx.] of the Ad Hoc Committee to End Political Suppression
occupied and used the facilities of this building for the purposes of sleeping, eating, Protesting
and calling to your attention the fact that the five demands have not yet been met.
Will they still be there tonight?
Yesterday, at the President's Dining Hall, Joseph McMurray again succeeded in evading the
questions and denying the advice of the Ad Hoc Coinmittee, concerned faculty and students
before air and press reporters. He indicated that he would again talk to these people this
afternoon. :
Will he be ‘there?
And why are we here?
We are here, and have been since March 27th, to protest political suppression on this campus.
Join us “ direct our President to act to end this MONTH-LONG Protest.’

Title
"Support the 5 Demands"
Description
Despite being printed on official Queens College letterhead, this handout was created by student activists in the Ad Hoc Committee. The flier calls for support of the five demands put forth by the group to the school's administration. Those five demands, laid out in the beginning of April 1969, included the reinstatement of a dismissed professor and the dropping of charges against student protestors involved in incidents in the prior weeks, amongst other things. Printed during a student takeover of an administrative building, the handout was just one of many created during particularly turbulent weeks on campus in March and April 1969 with high tensions between students and administrative.
